Common MLM Questions

ariix typical structure of an organization 300x274 Common MLM QuestionsMISUNDERSTANDING ABOUT STRUCTURE

People sometimes think that if someone is paid a commission on more than one level of the company, then it’s a pyramid.

This is false.

Every CEO or owner earns on all the levels of his/her company.

Each level of a corporation earns less money than those “above” it. Within the corporation (and government), this is called “chain of command.”

PYRAMID OR EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT?

ariix reps 09 300x294 Common MLM QuestionsThe pyramid shape occurs when ANY person or organization becomes overwhelmed. Think about it, if you ran a children’s daycare, how many kids could you manage before you became overwhelmed?

Three, five, seven?

What if you were in charge of twenty kids? You’d have to hire other people to help you manage them.

Let’s say you hire two workers and divide the kids between the three of you. Now it’s manageable.

That’s not a pyramid, even though it’s shaped like one. It’s simply the mostefficient way to organize people so those in charge don’t get overwhelmed.

This is true in the shape of your family, all corporations, all governments, and network marketing.

ariix CEO compensation graph 300x243 Common MLM QuestionsDO THE PEOPLE AT THE TOP MAKE ALL THE MONEY?

Some might think that people at the top of a network marketing organization make most or all of the money. Sometimes this is true, but it is also true in all businesses.

The average employee in the United States earned $29,544 in 2006. In the same year, the average CEO earned over $10 million in total compensation! – Associated Press survey of 386 Fortune 500 companies

In a broker/agent type of business there are people layered throughout the organization who are making more money than the people who brought them into the business.

You don’t find this in other business models.

DO YOU HAVE TO GET IN AT THE BEGINNING?

ariix getting in 289x300 Common MLM QuestionsSome people feel you must get in “early” or at the very beginning of a company to be successful.

This is false. The earlier you get in on the TREND, the better, but how early you join the company isn’t the issue.

The concept of “get in early” comes from the investment industry. There, you try to buy an asset (stock, real estate, etc.) at the beginning and sell it to some person later because you don’t think it will go much higher. “Get in at the beginning, get out at the top.”

Rarely (if ever) is the first person in a network marketing company the highest paid person. This is proof that one doesn’t have to get in at the beginning.

ariix model 6 205x300 Common MLM QuestionsTOO BUSY NOT ENOUGH TIME

Of course you’re busy. Everyone is busy. But when will it change?

The reason people don’t have enough time is not because they were given less time than anyone else. It’s more because they frequently have either one or both of these ideas: “I can do it better myself” or “I can do it quicker myself.”

These two phrases lock a person into less time. Wealth (of money and time) is hidden from those who must do it all themselves. Wealth reveals itself to those patient enough to train others. The secret is to have the patience to train others so you can get more done.

BE A PROFESSIONAL COMMUNICATOR

ariix model 7 206x300 Common MLM QuestionsIn every business and in every profession there is a need to communicate what that business or profession does for the customer.

Communication is a learned skill that is required in everything you will ever do. Every minute and penny spent learning to communicate well will return your minutes and pennies many times over. And in every type of business and every type of profession there are people who do things in a professional, first-class way and there are some that do things in a shoddy, low-class way.

Professionalism comes down to doing the right thing for the customer. Sometimes the right thing is not selling your product or service to a person. In other circumstances a person who very much needs your product will want to argue with you about some silly thing, but he or she is really just afraid of making a poor decision. Don’t turn your back on them. Part of the obligation of being a professional is to get the customers what they need.

Assuming you truly have a product that helps people, focus on finding people who want it rather than trying to force it on those who don’t want it. Be a professional. It will make you proud of what you do.

WORKAHOLIC PREVENTION

ariix model 8 229x300 Common MLM QuestionsIf the maximum number of hours a person can work in a day is 24 and the maximum number of days a person can work in a year is 365, then the maximum number of hours a person can work in a year is 8,760.

24 hours per day
x 365 days =
8,760 hours per year

However, if you earned a percentage on the work of 100 people who each worked 8 hours per day for a year, you would be paid on 292,000 hours! Far more than you could possibly do yourself.

That is how you gain more time and achieve freedom. That is also how you gain wealth in your business.
