How To Take Charge of Your MLM Biz – 3 TIPS
Building a home business while holding down a full-time job can be tricky. Here are some tips to make things run smoother.
TIP #1: Get your mindset right. Treat your business like a business and not like a hobby. Many people work on their home biz when they have time – rather than making time. Slot time each week to WORK on your business. If you had a part-time job you’d be expected to show up at a certain time and perform your duties, otherwise, you’d be looking for a new job. Your own business should have the same requirements.
TIP #2: Keep your eyes on the prize. It’s easy to get bogged down in the mundane tasks of running a home business. You can also have setbacks and disappointments. All those things can be minimized by keeping your eyes on your goals. Having a big ‘why’ and always staying focused on it will drive you through the downside of running a home biz.
TIP #3: Plan your day, month and year. Just moving from event to event is not a good way to build a lasting business. You should have a plan based on your goals and achievement timeline. You can do this by picturing in your mind what your goal will look like when achieved. Then you work backward placing milestones along the timeline leading up to your goal. To hit X goal in 1-year where will have to be 6-months from now? 3-Months from now? Next week? This week? What will you have to do today to achieve this week’s micro-goal?
While the ‘get rich quick’ sales pitch can be enticing, the reality is it takes consistent, well-planned work, over time to build a home business that’s sustainable. Anything worth having is worth working towards.
